Mother's Herbal Musings

Project Type

Urban, Rural, Residential, Commercial

Project Summary

In collaboration with Honey Moon Herbs, I eagerly share my love for herbs, providing plants, products and wisdom to all interested.

Project Description

Herbs are often ignored, especially in urban settings. I am working to change the mentaltiy of viewing herbs as yard pests. Vowing to share the wise woman ways of herbal healing, I will grow a variety of herbs for our greater community and share their many uses through the journey of their growth.

Relocated to the beautiful state of Oregon, I work with groups and individuals to spread the knowledge of herbs and all the gifts they have to offer. Making tea blends, tinctures, fertilizers and much more my products provide an outlet of herbal wisdom to the public. I strive to learn, plant, consciously harvest and share more with the communities and towns I travel to.

This project is part of an Intuitive Naturalism concept I have been working on through my Environmental Science and Sustainability studies. I am devoted to remembering how to live with the natural world and invite others to find their intuitive way to consciously connect with all living things on our planet. Through the process of opening to and trusting our intuitions within the natural world, I believe we can once again live in more harmony with our planet and create a brighter and helthier future for all.

change of scenery

Life's river carries us when it needs to....to show us things we need to see and teach us what we need to learn. She allows us fresh water, breath and new life from her ever flowing current. Do not fight the current, but ride the wave instead.

Legend of Badges

Note: The various badges displayed in people profiles are largely honesty-based self-proclamations by the individuals themselves. There are reporting functions users can use if they know of blatant misrepresentation (for both people and projects). Legitimacy, competency and reputation for all people and projects can be evidenced and/or developed through their providing regular updates on permaculture work they’re involved in, before/after photographs, etc. A spirit of objective nurturing of both people and projects through knowledge/encouragement/inspiration/resource sharing is the aim of the Worldwide Permaculture Network.

PRI Teacher

With the exception of the ‘Member’ who has never taken a PDC, all of the above can apply to become a PRI PDC Teacher. PRI PDC Teachers are those who the PRI recognise, through a vetting board, as determined and competent to teach the full 72-hour course as developed by Permaculture founder Bill Mollison – covering all the topics of The Designers’ Manual as well as possible (i.e. not cherry picking only aspects the teacher feels most interested or competent in). Such teachers also commit to focussing on the design science, and not including subjective spiritual/metaphysical elements. The reason these items are not included in the PDC curriculum is because they are “belief” based. Permaculture Design education concerns itself with teaching good design based on strategies and techniques which are scientifically provable.

PRI PDC Teachers may be given teaching and/or consultancy offerings as they become available as the network grows.
